Literature to know the world

Reading has great benefits for male and female readers. This activity increases our capacity for comprehension, attention and critical thinking, while stimulating our imagination and creativity.

In addition, literature has great social and cultural value. Literary works are not only valued from an artistic or stylistic point of view, but are also important because they reflect how society is at all times. That is why claiming the importance of reading and literature is fundamental.

Junior Report continues to bet on the great current issues, explained in a didactic and in-depth way. In addition to the daily proposal of La Noticia del Día, this month it launches a new In-Depth Theme focused on Literature.

Young people will learn about the origins of World Book Day, what has been the role of women in the literary world or what books have been banned throughout history. They will also be able to discuss the impact of artificial intelligence on literature or the power of social networks when it comes to promoting youth reading, among others.

All this content is complemented with didactic activities that will serve to deepen the subject in question. These activities are designed to be worked on in the classroom in sessions of 4 to 6 hours. Likewise, students will create content in text, podcast or video format and publish it in the digital magazine RED Report.

In addition, the A Fondo topics are complemented by a series of current news on Universo JR, the Junior Report channel on La Vanguardia.

In February, the Junior Report newspaper for young people launched Temas A Fondo, an informative project that aims to explain the great current issues in depth with a didactic approach.

Every month, the Junior Report team of journalists prepares a series of articles focused on a current issue that is worked on from different perspectives: gender, climate change, mental health, literature...

All this content is accompanied by a series of activities prepared by a team of educators. The activities are worked on in the classroom and promote debate and reflection among students on different issues of global interest.

The students will have the advice of professional journalists from the Junior Report team. Likewise, students will create journalistic content in text, podcast or video format, which will be published in the digital magazine RED Report.

The project landed in February with a first In-Depth Theme dedicated to Sexual Education. In March he presented a second theme, focused on Gender Equality. This April, Junior Report launches a third In-Depth Issue dedicated to Literature.
