After the episode of intense rains last Sunday, which left heavy rainfall such as more than 24 liters per square meter in just half an hour in Barcelona, the Civil Protection of the Generalitat de Catalunya maintains the pre-alert of the INUCAT plan during this Monday in several regions for the possibility of new episodes of strong storms.

As the agency highlights in a tweet, this Monday 20 liters per square meter can be exceeded in 30 minutes on the northern coast and pre-coastal of the community. In addition, in the afternoon the intense rainfall will affect Osona and La Garrotxa.

The Servei Meteorològic de Catalunya indicates that intense rainfall is expected in the eastern half of the territory for this Monday, May 1. "Some precipitation is also possible at other points," such as those cited by Civil Protection and the northern slopes of the Pirineu.

In these areas the rains will be light to moderate in intensity, although locally they may be strong. In addition, locally they will be accompanied by a storm and hail or stone. Regardless, on the northern slope, weak and scarce precipitation is possible at medium and high levels.

The maximum temperature will be similar to or slightly lower than last Sunday. On the Costa Daurada, the drop in maximum temperature will be moderate.
