A man who gave private English and German classes to two underage brothers has been arrested in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of sexual assault on the 8-year-old girl, the National Police reported on Monday.
The complaint was filed on February 7 by the parents, after the girl said that the teacher had sexually abused her, according to a police statement. Her father told the agents that her youngest warned them that, on some occasion, the teacher had carried out certain actions of a sexual nature towards her.
After the investigations by the agents, on February 10 the alleged perpetrator of the events was arrested, who has been placed at the disposal of the judicial authority. The investigation is still open by the Family and Women's Care Unit (UFAM), and it is not ruled out that there may be more victims.
