A 37-year-old man has died as a result of the injuries he suffered when he was hit by a bus while walking on the highway in the south of Tenerife, the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center 112 of the Government of the Canary Islands has reported.
The event occurred around 11:09 p.m. on Wednesday on the TF-1 road, heading south and near the municipality of Guía de Isora. A call alerted emergency services to the accident.
The staff of the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) who attended the scene of the accident could only confirm the death of the pedestrian, due to the severity of the injuries he had suffered. The Civil Guard regulated traffic in the area and took charge of the body until the arrival of the judicial authority and the Insular Highway Center proceeded to clean the road.
