World record for the largest charcuterie board on the planet (and without a leg of ham)

13 different artisanal cheeses and five types of sausages. That was the content of the largest charcuterie board on the planet, as certified by Guinness World Records, a preparation created thanks to the work of forty staff members at Boarderie, a cheese and charcuterie board shipping and assembly company based in West Palm Beach (Florida, USA). In total, more than 300 kilos of delicious food.

Building the largest charcuterie board to date took time. The staff of this company spent more than two hours cutting the entire sausage. Previously, they had to report, measure and organize the ingredients, which took another four hours; while the assembly took another hour.

The cheese and meats were paired with crackers, nuts, olives, dried fruits, chocolates and a variety of spreads, Boarderie co-founder and co-CEO Aaron Menitoff explains on Fox News.

The final construction was slow, as if it were a puzzle. In total, 1,024 individual trays of sausages were assembled. They were then organized on a single board, in which every last detail was taken care of.

After production and recognition by Guinness World Records, the impressive charcuterie board was donated to a homeless shelter in Floria, according to this media.

This is not the only record for charcuterie boards. There are other records of this style, such as the longest board on the planet, a recognition achieved by Peter Wachtel and Adolfo Camarillo High in Camarillo (California) last March.
