A historic event will take place this week in Madrid. This Tuesday, October 31, the Princess of Asturias will swear in the Constitution in the Cortes Generales on a very special day, since Leonor turns 18.

On the occasion of this event, the regional government chaired by Isabel Díaz Ayuso intends to involve all Madrid residents, encouraging residents to come to Puerta del Sol, where a very special sweet will be distributed.

In this way, anyone looking to enjoy the evening will be able to access special sweets with the colors of the national flag, prepared by the Association of Artisan Entrepreneurs of the Pastry Sector of Madrid.

The sweet that will be distributed for free to celebrate Leonor's oath is a dessert of almond sponge cake or Russian cake, with an orange pastry cream, semi-whipped cream, almond powder, egg whites, liqueur and gelatin. The most special detail? A flag of Spain made of pastillage.

Anyone who wishes can pick up these sweets at the Tourist Office located in the central square in Madrid. It is planned to distribute about 1,500 sweets, and each portion will go in a special box decorated for the event.

In addition to the sweet, the Association of Centenary Restaurants and Taverns will offer an appetizer consisting of a gilda (piparra or pickled chilli with anchovy and green olive) to which a Spanish flag will also be added.
