The Repsol Guide distinguishes 300 establishments with a new 'Solete to get lost in'

Rankings and gastronomic guides not only reward haute cuisine restaurants, but often also look at those with a more affordable and simple proposal in order to give them the visibility they deserve.

This is the case of the Repsol Guide, which just a month ago announced its new soles for 2023 in Alicante, and which today has unveiled its new 'Soletes to get lost in'. It is a selection in which a total of 300 establishments spread throughout the Spanish geography appear and chosen for their culinary proposal, their natural environment and their close treatment.

“Los Soletes are those places that we dream of finding when we embark on a trip, either to spend the day or to explore a region. They reflect the implantation that the kitchen has in Spain, because they reach any corner, and the desire to enjoy that we all have", explained María Ritter, director of Guía Repsol, in a statement.

In the selection there are not only restaurants with affordable tickets, marine taverns adjacent to the coast or mountain houses with views of idyllic landscapes. There are also ovens, bars, cafeterias and even fast food places where you can sit down and eat without rushing.

Many of the establishments reviewed with a new 'Solete' are normally found in towns that could go unnoticed by the traveler, hence the desire of this guide to place them on the map.

In the province of Barcelona they have obtained a new 'Solete' Paquita Slow (Canet de Mar) for its original and affordable menu of the day; Ca La Cinta (Sant Agustí de Lluçanès) for its projection as a restaurant with more than two decades of experience, Fonda la Primitiva (Lluçà) for its affordable menus and live music evenings and El Racó Sant Climent de Llobregat ( Barcelona) by the kitchen of chef Gerard Solís.

In Girona, the new 'Solete' has ended up in the hands of the Maison Marcel patisserie (Sant Feliu de Guíxols), the restaurants El Teatret (La Bisbal d'Empordà), Els Caçadors (Maçanet de Cabrenys), Can Boix (Vilademuls) , Marmara (Palafrugell), Comedor Verdor (Pals), Siuriana (Siuriana) and the wine bar El Birrot (Jafre).

Tarragona now has four new 'Soletes', among them two pastry shops (Bahía, in L'Ampolla, and Cal Jan, in Torredembarra) and two restaurants (Albert Guzmán Restaurant, in Sant Carles de la Ràpita, and La Subhasta, in L 'Sea almond). And, in the case of Lleida, there have been 6 distinguished establishments: the bars Tapete's (Alcarràs) and Syrah Gastrobar (Les Borges Blanques), the pastry shop La Lionesa (Sort) and the restaurants Taverna Lamagda (Alcoletge), Bar Center (El Vilosell) and Pessets - P7S (Sort).

After making this selection public, the Repsol Guide already has more than 3,000 establishments throughout the Spanish geography distinguished with a 'Solete'.
