Getting the restaurant right is always important. This choice becomes more important if we are traveling to another country. Not only to find the ideal establishment to enjoy local cuisine, but also to get it at a good price, not to mention the size of the portions.
Just the opposite happened to a Spanish couple who was visiting Zurich (Switzerland). They tried to choose a cheaper restaurant than usual. What's more, they previously looked at one that was below 40 francs, "the usual for the city."
"We arrived at a place and found that a plate of gnocchi costs 19 francs. Same price for pizza and pasta," they say on their way back to the hotel.
Dazzled by the price, they entered. "We ordered a plate of meatballs, a pizza and some gnocchi. But, when the girl came, we were amazed," she says. "They just robbed us," they maintain.
However, the trick was in the serving: "They were miniatures. They looked like tapas." His explanation was that that was how they worked there, that they were small portions and that he advised them to order two or three dishes per person.
They also had to pay five euros for "unlimited water on the tap", so they gave up ordering dessert. In the end, the dinner was not cheap at all, about 60 euros, they detail in their TikTok video.
