In 'La niebla y la doncella', the third installment of the series of novels starring Sergeant Bevilacqua and Corporal Chamorro, the most famous civil guards in Spain, the couple is commissioned to investigate the death of a crazy young man, which occurred two years ago, for which they moved to the island of La Gomera. Everything points to a renowned local politician who was acquitted by a court.
