Naomi Campbell goes to the new StreetXO in Dubai: what dishes did the supermodel taste?

Chef Dabiz Muñoz is in Dubai these days for the event to celebrate the opening of the new StreetXO in the capital of the Arab Emirates. The restaurant is having an excellent reception, as witnessed by the many diners who share their experience on social networks.

Among the personalities who have tasted their dishes at this opening, the name of one of the most famous supermodels stands out: Naomi Campbell. The top model went to the restaurant last Sunday and there she tasted some of the Madrid chef's tastiest dishes.

Few details have emerged from the model's visit to the restaurant. However, thanks to the images shared on the Instagram profiles of Dabiz Muñoz, his wife Cristina Pedroche and the restaurant itself, we can highlight some of the dishes that Campbell tasted.

Of course, one of the preparations they served were Cristina Pedroche's legendary croquettes. She also tried the 'xef' paella, with king crab, maitake mushrooms, chipotle and caviar.

Likewise, lobster with chili and tuna shashimi with XO sauce were placed on the table. And the Josper-roasted scallop with toasted butter, radish yogurt, jalapeño gazpacho and lime keffir.

During his visit to Madrid Fusion Foods of Spain 2024 last January, Dabiz Muñoz shared some insights into what to expect from the opening of StreetXO in Dubai. The one named Best Chef in the World three times guaranteed that his new international project would maintain the same essence as the original located in Madrid.

He announced that the only ingredient he would give up on his menu is pork. Regarding his intentions regarding the opening, she assured that “we want to reach an experience as wild as StreetXO.” He also acknowledged that they do not claim to be the best restaurant in Dubai, but “one of the best options” in the city.

In this regard, in the talk given at the congress, he reviewed what happened with the opening of StreetXO in London: “We tried to greatly lower expectations for the London experience.” Although “we did many things wrong, it was not a failure,” because “if it weren't for the pandemic, it would still be there,” he stressed.

Muñoz revealed that the opening in Dubai was an express request from the prince of the capital of the United Arab Emirates, since he went to his restaurant in London up to four or five consecutive days and it won him over. StreetXO's journey in the Arab city has just begun and, judging by what is revealed on social networks, it seems that it will give a lot to talk about.
