How much does an influencer pet earn?

Content creators –or influencers– are one of the professions that arouse the most curiosity. And it is, in fact, the profession dreamed of by many children. But this sector does not only include content creators on fashion, travel, gastronomy or video games.

There is also a whole business around pet influencers. Animals arouse fascination both on and off the screen, and viral videos of animals doing whatever is funny are raking in likes. Therefore, it is not surprising that some owners have turned their pets into real celebrities on the net. Beyond the fun and popularity, those who accumulate the most followers can even live exclusively on the image of their pet.

If we talk about pet influencers, the most popular is Jiff, a Pomeranian who accumulates 9.5 million followers on Instagram and a whopping 20.5 million on TikTok. Its content consists of photos and videos of the cute dog posing with clothes, food or doing mischief.

He even holds a Guinness Record for being the fastest dog running on two legs: he runs ten meters in 6.56 seconds. Apart from these peculiarities, the army of his followers has earned him to charge up to 38,000 euros for a post.

On the other hand, we have an adorable pug who poses in a costume with his tongue hanging out, receives massages and wags his tail happily listening to his human sing songs to him. This is the case of Doug the Pug, who has 3.7 million followers on Instagram. He's won two People's Choice Awards for "Animal Star," starred in a Katy Perry music video, and snuggled into Ed Sheeran's arms.

Doug is the example that the income in social networks does not only come from advertising contracts with brands, but can also be a springboard for other jobs such as a star in music videos, as well as the publication of a book and participation in charities with his own foundation.

But the influencer pet title isn't just for dogs. Any animal can open a gap and, of course, cats also bid for prominence in the networks. Princess Honeybelle the cat is famous for sharing recipes on social networks wearing her little chef's hat. She also destroys the videos in which her owner dresses her with different outfits and accessories.

On Instagram, he has 168 thousand followers and on TikTok 272 thousand followers. Precisely in this last social network, the owner of this minina and administrator of her profiles shared a video where she detailed the income that her pet obtained during 2022. In total, she earned 62,355 Australian dollars last year, August being her month with the highest monetization, with $15,093. She herself explained that it was due to the creation of several pieces of content for a collaboration with the same brand.
