Funambulist Nathan Paulin crosses the Barcelona plaza de Catalunya at a height of 70 meters

The French tightrope walker Nathan Paulin crossed Barcelona's Plaza Catalunya this Sunday on a steel cable 70 meters high to open the Grec festival in Barcelona.

Paulin has covered the distance in less than 40 minutes by adding a 350-meter cable (attached to a harness) round trip from the Generali building on Gran Via with Paseo de Gràcia to the Movistar Center building, in the Portal de l 'Angel.

This is the second opening of the festival after the first was held on Thursday at the Teatre Grec with the contemporary circus show The Pulse, by Gravity

Paulin's proposal coincides with the 200th anniversary of Passeig de Gràcia and, under the direction of Rachid Ouramadne, the public was able to listen to a recreation of the tightrope walker's thoughts as he crossed the square.

Paulin began to dedicate himself to tightrope walking in 2011 and, after doing similar shows in other European cities such as Paris and achieving several world records in the discipline, this is the first time he has performed in Spain.
