'Manon', the acclaimed production by stage director Olivier Py arrives at the Liceu:

Director Olivier Py has just premiered Jules Massenet's opera, inspired by the novel Prévost, Manonn Lescaut, at the Teatre Liceu. A love affair between Manon, a young woman heading to the convent who is smitten at first sight by a young student, Des Grieux. But the girl aspires, above all, the life of luxury and the riches that Mr. G.M. offers her. in exchange for being his lover.

A story of love and ingenuity where Des Grieux falls, seduced, into the hands of the young Manon, for whom he will incarnate evil to the point of perdition so as not to let her escape.

'Swing, swing, swing!'. Una velada musical con Chino

With an unmistakable style along with his slide guitar and his energy on stage, Chino Swingslide brings the musical formula Swing, swing, swing!, together with The Sharps, to the Harlem Jazz Club, this Saturday at 11:00 p.m. An evening that combines a high-quality musical repertoire with the magnetism and strength that characterizes both of them.

Chino Swingslide has become one of the most active and representative musicians in Barcelona. Born in Buenos Aires, Hernán Senra has taken his blues rhythms, marked by a heritage from his past as a street musician, to international stages, from the United States to Italy, not forgetting Ibiza, one of his regular stops.

BCN Film Fest opens its 7th edition with 21 world premieres, 2 international, 17 Spanish and 11 Catalan:

The seventh edition of the BCN Film Fest has just opened with the screening of François Ozon's intriguing comedy, My Crime, which leads a program with a wide selection from the international scene. Until April 28, 70 titles will be screened among the 8 sections of the contest, which includes 21 world premieres, 2 international, 17 Spanish and 11 Catalan.

The festival will end with the screening of the Catalan director Carla Subirana, Sica, the name of a girl who undertakes a painful journey over the cliffs in search of her father lost in a shipwreck, along with her friend Suso.

In parallel to the contest, there are free activities, round tables and talks that will complete the week of the festival.

Dalí Cibernético, an interdimensional portal into the mind of the author and his works:

Until the end of this month, Dalí's works and genius will be on display at the Center d'Arts Digitals from a totally new perspective: a digital arts tour. This trip offers an immersive experience inside the author's DNA and his works, through 360-degree projections, interactive installations, holograms and virtual reality.

'Macbeth' a new vision of Shakespeare's work:

Until April 29, the Teatre Akadèmia is hosting a play inspired by Macbeth, one of Shakespeare's classic tragedies, where the protagonist, who takes the name from the title, is a nobleman who stands out in the combat that manages to repel the Nordic invasion. On his way back he meets three witches, who assure him that he will obtain the baronetcy of Cawdor. After seeing that his predictions were true, he will start a fight for greed that will take him to the extreme, to slaughter.

This story of longing, of power that arrives transformed into a multidisciplinary production, where words, music, movement, fashion, and plastic and sound elements come together on stage, giving rise to a very vivid theatrical piece.

'20,000 species of bees', a tender story of childhood transsexuality:

After conquering the hearts of the Malaga Festival jury and winning the Biznaga de Oro for Best Film, the film Estíbaliz Urresola finds a place on the billboards with this tender story of a trans girl, who will try to find herself during the summer that he spends with his brothers, his mother and his beekeeper aunt.

'The daughter of all rages', the first Nicaraguan film directed by a woman:

The film tells the story of María, who lives with her mother in a huge dump located in the capital of Nicaragua. Her future depends on selling a litter of puppies, but the mission fails when Maria accidentally poisons them. Her mother, enraged, abandons her in a recycling factory where she must work together with other children. But one night the girl meets Tadeo, with whom she will embark on a journey to reunite with her mother.

'Pere i el llop', a modern adaptation of the classic tale:

The Ballet Contemporani de Catalunya stages Prokofiev's classic work, Perdo and the Wolf, in a new modern and multidisciplinary adaptation. In the original story, Pedro was a mischievous man who lived in an isolated house in the woods along with his grandfather. But among the trees it was not all peace and quiet. Despite the fact that the boy was used to living with the animals of the forest, his grandfather was always afraid that the wolf could appear at any moment.

The show combines music, dance and theater, a variety that brings 9 musicians, 4 actors, and 5 dancers to the stage, who will embody the protagonists of the story.
