Are the QuèFem Awards back? to reward the best leisure initiatives in Catalonia

Summer is here, and with this season, for another year, the event that honors the most outstanding initiatives in Catalonia in the fields of leisure, culture and gastronomy returns. And this year, the QuèFem? de La Vanguardia will be displayed in a special way, with an edition that will celebrate the 25th anniversary of this supplement.

The spectacular panoramic views of Barcelona from the Xalet de Montjuïc will, once again, witness an appointment with which La Vanguardia wants to value the world of leisure in Catalonia. The award ceremony, which will coincide with the 25-year anniversary party, will be held on the afternoon of July 6 and will bring together some of the protagonists who promote the wide and quality offer of leisure and culture in Catalonia.

The QuèFem? They will repeat the format again, but a category will be added that will reward a special initiative of the last 25 years. Thus, this edition will recognize, once again, the best proposals in restoration -with a specific award for sustainable restoration-, music, theater, family initiative, children's proposal, local trade, museum, cinema and best getaway. The award will also be repeated for the second year for a character who has made a significant contribution to boosting Barcelona in its field of action.

The eleven awardees of the year 2022 were: Let’s Festival (best musical initiative); Victoria Theater (theatre initiative); Llum BCN Light Arts Festival (family initiative); CRAM Foundation (children's initiative); Film Festival (cinephile initiative); Barcelona Commerce (proximity trade); Now Lleida (best getaway); Espai Cràter (museum initiative); Sergi de Meià (restoration); TunaTeca (sustainable restaurant), and Mike Blackman, general manager of the Integrated Systems Events fair, who received the special award.

The WhatFem? came to light in 1998 to review the week's agenda and offer readers of La Vanguardia a wide range of proposals and leisure activities. Over the years, and already celebrating a quarter of a century, the QuèFem? It has established itself as the leading supplement in Catalonia thanks to the weekly information related to the cinema, music, theater, arts, gastronomy or getaways billboard.
