William Levy and his wife, Elizabeth Gutiérrez, have separated. The Cuban actor and his wife, also a Mexican performer, have decided to go their separate ways in their relationship after giving themselves a second chance to try to overcome a deep marital crisis that they were experiencing a little over a year ago.
However, it could not be. According to Gutiérrez herself, she confirmed in an unprecedented way in statements to the digital edition of the magazine ¡Hola! Americas, the couple has put an end to their relationship of more than 20 years, which has produced two children together: Christopher (18) and Kailey (14).
"Currently we are not together. For my part it was never due to a lack of love, I simply believe that I am not the same girl as 20 years ago, when we met," reflects the Mexican actress. "What I want right now is different. I will always love him, I will always wish him the best; as I have always said, whether he is with me or not, I want to see him happy."
Some surprising statements to say the least, since the Mexican has always been very secretive about her personal and private life; even more so in those issues related to her personal relationship with the Cuban actor.
According to People, Levy would have ended the relationship after the Mexican actress left the family home in the luxurious and exclusive neighborhood of Broward. Gutiérrez has moved into an apartment with his daughter Kailey, while the Cuban actor remains in the residence with his eldest son, who refuses to leave him alone.
After his statements, Levy sent an enigmatic message after the interview with his now ex-wife became public. The Cuban, who is not usually very active on social networks, turned to his Stories to share a very significant phrase that seemed directed at the mother of his children.
"If in life you don't fight for what you want, you will never have good stories to tell." After this message, she shared a publication with the text: "It's a matter of time...".
William Levy and Elizabeth Gutiérrez met in 2003, after working together in the Novel Protagonistas contest. Despite the appearance of an idyllic relationship, rumors of separation have always existed about them. The couple already announced the end of their relationship in 2008 and reconciled again; and then do it again three years later.
In 2014, they separated again and reconciled again; until doing it again in 2022. It seems that this is the definitive one or, at least, it is the actress's intention.
