Three trends that will disappear in 2024 and how to replace them with style

If there is a cyclical industry par excellence, it is fashion, which changes its trends from time to time. Sometimes, even in a totally radical way. Those who stick to a timeless style with a strong personal nature will not be influenced by this, or at least not too much. On the other hand, people who enjoy letting themselves be carried away by the most current trends are obliged to remain attentive to the new movements made by designers and fashion brands. The trends that sweep in 2024 will not be the same as last year.

And it is no longer just the fact that some fashions are taking over others during these months. But it is possible that certain garments or styles, which previously occupied a prominent place in the closet, have now completely disappeared. Therefore, it is advisable to stay updated about those trends that have left and those that are coming to take their place.

The specialized fashion account “Everyday Elegant”, on the TikTok social network, indicates which are some of the trends that are going to disappear during the year 2024. So it is now time to put these clothes at the back of the closet. However, as a counterpart, it also provides some recommendations of what other pieces can be used instead and that do belong to the current year's fashions.

One of the garments that, at least for the moment, is completely forgotten are tight suit pants. A wardrobe option that gained considerable popularity, especially when creating a complete look focused on a particular color. In 2024, this will end. But, instead, you can opt for relaxed fit style pants, which are in full trend. They can be straight cut or with a 'wide leg' or 'flared' silhouette. The outfits will be more interesting from the point of view of shape and will gain versatility.

Another trend that says goodbye, despite having been one of the fashions that has had the strongest impact in recent years, is that of 'chunky' sneakers. That is, with a thick and large sole. Now, however, the fashion preference is the opposite: low soles and a much slimmer and simpler silhouette. One of the best examples is the Adidas Spezial, which is currently sweeping.

Midi skirts also go to the back of the closet, because 2024 is going to be the year of maxi skirts. No matter the shape, fabric or design, the key is in the length of the garment.
