The strange video of Carlos Sainz Jr. that everyone is talking about: "Who is kissing my driver?"

Carlos Sainz Jr.'s life has taken a positive turn in recent months. The Spanish Formula 1 driver has found the key to getting the maximum potential out of his Ferrari and some enviable results against the absolute dominance of Max Verstappen: two consecutive pole positions and the second victory of his career, last weekend at the Grand Prix. Singapore Prize. While the Madrid native's focus is now on the Suzuka circuit, it has gone viral on social media for another reason.

The one who aims to be one of the protagonists of the Japanese Grand Prix has been seen starring in a completely different video, which has gone viral on platforms such as TikTok. In it, Sainz appears in a nightclub enjoying the evening and live music. At one point, he can be seen moving his head forward to talk to another person, in a movement that many have interpreted as a kiss.

It is a short video, six seconds long, but it has been enough to turn the Formula 1 and heart communities upside down. The publication by user Camilo Guerra has accumulated 1.7 million views, as well as 141,000 likes and more than 500 comments. Many of them ask themselves the same question, toned in different ways: “Who did he kiss?”, responding in the same way with very original answers.

“She planted a kiss on Lando,” noted one of the first responses. A clear reference to Lando Norris, British McLaren driver with whom Carlos shared the team for two seasons. The duo went viral thanks to their good friendship and chemistry, even receiving a couple name: Carlando. Another of the candidates that users jokingly launched is Charles Leclerc, Sainz's teammate at Ferrari, who also enjoys great popularity in the Great Circus.

“Everyone's dream is for it to be Charles” or “I don't understand anything and I don't know who Lando is, but I share it anyway because it's beautiful” are some of the messages that have been read, while others are looking for quick solutions. “I trust TikTok to do the right thing and show me another perspective,” said one user, despite the fact that the various responses opted for a less far-fetched truth: “Yes, he is talking in someone's ear.”

Back to the sporting news, Carlos Sainz has already completed two free practice sessions at the Suzuka circuit. The Ferrari driver remains one of the candidates to win the Japanese Grand Prix, despite the fact that Red Bull once again commands the top of the standings. Verstappen led both free practice sessions this Friday, with Sainz finishing practice in second and fourth position respectively.
