The singer Lizzo, sued by three of her former dancers for alleged sexual harassment

The famous singer Lizzo is facing a lawsuit filed by three of her former dancers: Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams and Noelle Rodríguez, who accuse her of alleged sexual harassment and creating a hostile work environment. According to an NBC exclusive, the plaintiffs allege that the situation occurred at a strip club in Amsterdam.

The lawsuit brief, to which NBC had access, details that Lizzo allegedly forced one of the dancers to inappropriately touch a nude artist during a performance at the aforementioned club. In addition, it is alleged that the singer invited the dancers to touch the nude performers, catch objects thrown from the female performers' vaginas, and eat bananas that were protruding from the female performers' vaginas.

When one of the dancers refused to perform these actions, Lizzo allegedly forced her to do so and then pressured another dancer to undress onstage. The lawsuit also includes allegations of "religious and racial harassment" by the singer and her dance captain Shirlene Quigley.

According to the former dancers, Lizzo and her choreographer referred to one of them in an offensive way related to her weight and falsely accused her of drinking during work hours. In addition, Lizzo and her dance captain are alleged to have ridiculed those who had premarital sex while sharing lewd sexual fantasies and publicly discussing the virginity of one of the plaintiffs.

Arianna Davis and Crystal Williams began working with Lizzo in 2021 to participate in Watch Out for the Big Grrrls, but were subsequently fired. On the other hand, Noelle Rodríguez was hired in the same year for the Rumors video clip, but she resigned at the beginning of 2023.

The case is being closely followed by the media and has generated a wide discussion about labor rights and the fair treatment of workers in the entertainment industry. Lizzo has yet to make a public statement about the allegations against her.
