The new media strategy of Edwin Arrieta's family after the cause of his death came to light

Three weeks have already passed since it came to light that Daniel Sancho, the son of actor Rodolfo Sancho, went to a police station in Thailand and, after denying it several times, confessed to the murder and dismemberment of Edwin Arrieta Arteaga. Little by little, more details about the relationship they both had are becoming known and some details about the case are being clarified. Following the latest information, the doctor's family has decided to change their strategy, avoiding making statements on the subject in question. It is a decision that contrasts with their way of acting in recent weeks, in which they have appeared numerous times on television and have attended the media.

Luis Romero, the spokesman for the Colombian surgeon's family, appeared on various television programs in which issues about the media case were discussed, which the press has echoed internationally. Romero has spoken with the point of view of the representation of the family of the murdered, also designing the strategy that they were carrying out for his defense and facing a possible trial, which is still unknown when it will be held.

After the crime came to light, the family has expressed to the press their desire for justice to be done for Edwin, and in the case of Darling, the victim's sister, has spoken on several occasions with television in our country. This could change from now on, since, due to the latest advances in the investigation of the case, which reveal the way in which the doctor lost his life, Luis communicated the decision to change the family's strategy. "There will be a pause in the statements by the family. We are going to talk more from the legal, procedural point of view," he declared.

On the other hand, Luis expressed before the microphones of Europa Press that "we are aware and understand that we will receive in a few days, through our colleagues and colleagues in Colombia, a report from the Colombian Foreign Ministry, the Colombian Ministry of Foreign Affairs ". The spokesman assured that he is in constant communication with the surgeon's native country to receive the report that may allow him to begin designing the strategy that he must follow from now on.

"In this report there will be data on the police and judicial investigation, different information that will allow us to draw up a strategy and be able to report on it," Romero told the press. The representative expressed that the report by the prosecution would help to continue with the legal and corresponding procedures. On the other hand, the chef's defense is waiting for the same thing, the Thai prosecutor's report to be able to conclude his investigations and be able to continue with his strategy.

The surgeon's family has made a drastic decision, in addition to continuing the incessant search for evidence. Social networks have become a very important medium to give visibility to certain cases and to share information. This is why the Colombian doctor's account had been filled with messages of affection since the news of his death came to light while he was on vacation in Thailand. In this way, currently only people who previously followed Edwin's profile on Instagram can access the surgeon's publications.

A few days ago, the cause of Edwin's death came to light. "We already have the definitive results of the autopsy. First they fought, according to the evidence at the scene (of the crime). Daniel punched him, then the doctor fell and hit his head on the sink, but he did not die in that moment, but when Daniel Sancho began to cut his throat, according to forensics," the Thai police said. Now we will have to wait to know how the case continues to develop.
