The most spectacular dresses from the CFDA fashion awards

The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) held its annual awards at the American Museum of Natural History in New York to honor the most innovative personalities and entities in the world of fashion.

An edition that had Sarah Jessica Parker as host, but due to “unforeseen circumstances” she was replaced at the last minute by Anne Hathaway. The list of nominees included names such as Joseph Altuzarra, Thom Browne, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen for The Row, Gwyneth Paltrow – who received the second Annual Innovation Award for Goop – or even Serena Williams, awarded for her contributions to the industry.

The model was one of the most striking of the night with a pink and black outfit by Christian Siriano. A dress with a dramatic aesthetic, with maxi shoulder pads, an opening on the side and a large hat.

The singer dressed as Willy Chavarria with a low-cut black design with four large flowers on the lapels.

The actress was once again the protagonist with a brilliant look by Carolina Herrera. A strapless design, with sequins of different sizes that she combined with black strappy sandals by Stuart Weitzman.

Another of the personalities who is always involved in fashion events – whether as a presenter or guest – also made herself noticed with an Old Hollywood style dress by Vera Wang.

The winner for her contributions to fashion, Serena Williams, appeared in a voluminous Thom Browne design with maxi ruffles on the sides.

As host of the gala, the actress stunned with a total denim look by Ralph Lauren from the spring/summer 2024 collection.

The founder of Skims, true to her style, appeared in a black halter-neck dress that hugged her curves, a creation by Chrome Hearts.

Gwyneth Paltrow, who was awarded for her work on Goop, dressed in rigorous black with a minimalist design signed by G.Label.
