The most daring looks from the Met Gala 2024

To understand and analyze the red carpet of the famous Met Gala, you have to pay close attention to the concept of each year's temporary fashion exhibition. In this edition the dress code is called 'The Garden of Time', a title that responds to a short story with the same name by J.G. Ballard in 1962.

The stars invited by Anna Wintour to the event of the year in New York had to recreate, using creativity and care, a style so beautiful and delicate that it would not change over time. As in every edition, there are those who understand the rules of the game set by the Vogue editor and others who risk more than they should, deviating from the 'dress code'.

Actress Gwendoline Christie turned to one of her favorite brands, Maison Margiela, with a red dress with a black cape custom made for the occasion by John Galliano. The designer has been crowned as one of the great kings of the night, signing another of the most talked about looks of the night, Zendaya's impressive gothic princess dress.

Another look to remember was signed by Valentino and was defended by theater producer Jordan Roth. A dress covered in flowers from head to toe completed with pink latex gloves. Who also went overboard with flowers was Jessica Serfaty Michel, wife of Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio, heir to the Italian sunglasses empire EssilorLuxottica.

Gigi Hadid also surprised attendees not so much because of the ornamentation but because of the large dimensions of the skirt of the dress designed by Thom Browne. From flowers to ancient Rome, the Norwegian businessman Gustav Witzoe used the imagination to recreate his own prince from a Roman fairy tale.
