The daily life of Miguel Bosé continues to recover after the unexpected setback suffered last Friday. The renowned singer was tied up for two hours with his children and household staff after a group of ten hooded men assaulted his house in Mexico City. The incident has been surrounded by questions since the first, as it is not known exactly how the criminals managed to enter the luxurious urbanization without being detected.
The answers to all these questions are not yet known, but the Mexican prosecutor's office has issued an official statement, reporting the details of the case after the complaint that Bosé ended up making this week. In it they report on the process that the judicial and police agencies carried out to coordinate, and how and when they intervened during the assault on the mansion located in the territorial demarcation of Álvaro Obregón.
"The Mexico City Attorney General's Office (FGJCDMX) reports that, following up on an investigation folder initiated for the crime of burglary with violence, registered in the Rancho San Francisco Fraccionamiento, the Álvaro Territorial Investigation Prosecutor Obregón received a formal complaint from a foreign singer and his legal representative," the entity stated at the beginning of the statement.
Immediately afterwards, the prosecutor's office gives a brief summary of Bosé's statement, pointing out the events that occurred on August 18: "With the information received, integrated into the investigation that the social representative began a few days ago, the intervention of detectives was ordered of the Investigation Police (PDI) to interview other possible witnesses to the events and analyze images from public and private video surveillance cameras that have recorded the crime.”
"Likewise, personnel from the General Coordination of Forensic Investigation and Expert Services, an expert in criminalistics, chemistry, photography and valuation, intervened to gather evidence at the address where the events occurred," the letter continued. Similarly, they report that the investigation work is ongoing, in addition to providing contact telephone numbers for any witness who had seen any suspicious movement.
As for the singer, he highlighted the courage of his children in the face of the assault in his own statement: “It was all very tense, delicate and unpleasant. This is the only version you should attend to. Things are being said that are not true as some people usually like. Thank you all for the support and constant concern shown but rest assured. To my neighbors in the urbanization and the first to arrive, a thousand thanks from the bottom of my heart”.
