The emotional words of comedian Manu Sánchez after his battle against cancer: "You think you're a superhero with the cape and the glitter"

The Bells are one of the most high-profile television events, and they always leave protagonists such as Cristina Pedroche's peculiar dresses or anecdotes like that of Nia and Roberto Herrera who started their 'grapes' in the Canary Islands late.

One of the most emotional moments of New Year's Eve 2023 on television, however, was the comedian Manu Sánchez, in charge of the Chimes on the Andalusian public channel, Canal Sur, along with the world soccer champion Olga Carmona.

In his short farewell speech of the year, the comedian wanted to thank the work of Health in his battle with cancer: "In 2023 I want to take advantage of this platform to thank our public health that, with me, has had the nice detail of, nothing more and nothing less, than saving my life, thanks to all the health personnel who go out of their way for us.

And to this Manu Sánchez surely added his most emotional words of the night: "You think you're a superhero with the cape and the glitter, but, in the blink of an eye, life puts something else in front of you and you see that Generous hands are washing you, caring for you and recovering you for life, for this, for what we love.

The comedian received one of his worst news when he announced that he was suffering from a testicular germ cell tumor with metastasis to the lymph nodes in April 2023, just two days before the birth of his second daughter, which tarnished one of his best moments.

After having overcome much of his battle against cancer, Manu Sánchez reappeared months later at the celebration of the Latin Grammys in Seville last November on Aimar Bretos' Hora 25 program on Cadena SER.

In a broadcast of the Campanadas 2023 on Canal Sur that was broadcast from Jerez de la Frontera, Olga Carmona also dedicated some affectionate words to her partner: "I feel very lucky to be here with you, because you are also an example for all Andalusians "You have given us a life lesson."
