The dramatic situation of David Bisbal's brother: in a wheelchair after his mysterious disappearance

2023 has proven to be one of the most complicated years for the Bisbal family. Last February it was confirmed that the patriarch of the family, Pepe Bisbal, suffers from a severe degenerative neurological disease through the speech that David Bisbal gave after being recognized as Favorite Son of Almería.

Shortly after, in April, José María Bisbal, older brother of the singer from Almería, was on the list of missing persons of the Civil Guard after several days without showing signs of life. Luckily, everything ended in a scare, and the oldest of the brothers was found safe in the town of Roquetas de Mar.

The artist's brother was hospitalized after being found. Since then, there has been much speculation about the mental health situation of José María Bisbal since that mysterious disappearance, where it was feared that the worst could happen, since just a few hours before he had published some significant messages on his social networks that incited the worry.

However, despite the usual protocol for missing persons having been initiated after the complaint filed in Roquetas de Mar, José María was found, who had suffered an accident that caused this spinal injury, for which he has remained hospitalized throughout this time and which has caused me to have to live in a wheelchair from now on.

A health setback that, however, has restored his happiness. With the help and love of his wife, Lupe, his family and the staff of the Toledo Paraplegic Hospital; He now confesses himself happy.

"I was recently discharged from this magnificent hospital where I have been admitted for almost five months due to a spinal cord injury," José María Bisbal confessed to Informalia. He has been admitted to the medical center for almost half a year, from where he has finally left, but now it is time for the hardest work, which is adapting to his new reality.

José María Bisbal moves around in a wheelchair, and confirms to the aforementioned portal that he is completely self-sufficient: "I don't need help from anyone." David Bisbal's older brother continues with his adaptation to his new reality from his wheelchair, and admits that he arrived at the hospital with "quite severe depression" because his injury "is difficult to accept."

However, as he himself says, he decided to move forward. With these statements, he hopes to be an example for many people who may be in the same situation. "I am very happy and eager to enjoy life."

The eldest Bisbal has nothing but words of support for the professionals who have helped him during all these months, largely responsible for his improvement and positive way of seeing life at this time. "I use a wheelchair and they have taught me to live with it. They teach you to face the reality outside the hospital."

The singer, his sister Maria del Mar and the mother of the three, María Ferre, are very attentive to José María. Also from Pepe, his father, to whom everyone dedicates the utmost care and affection. As David Bisbal himself stated in the presentation of his docuseries, for him "the most important thing, above music and my career, is my family."
