The day Jesús Vázquez saved her husband's life: "I managed to get him out"

Martínez y Hermanos, the program presented by Dani Martínez at the

It was about the day Jesus saved his partner's life by literally saving him from drowning. A monumental scare that occurred when Roberto decided to bathe in Galician waters without realizing that he could put him in danger. Fortunately, the presenter acted quickly and managed to save him.

It all happened during the Breaking the Ice section when the following question came up: "Have you tried to help someone who was in danger?" A question that Jesús Vázquez answered by remembering the tremendous scare she got from her when her husband Roberto Cortés was about to drown on the Costa de la Muerte, in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.

“We had just met and I took him to Galicia, which is what is usually done. I wanted to show him my land, ”she began by recounting. "Those who know what the beaches of Galicia are like know that from Ferrol upwards they are beautiful but they are dangerous, hence the name Costa da Morte", the presenter continued.

Next, Jesus went on to describe the situation with what years later would be her husband. “He wanted to be brave. He is from Extremadura, he is more of a river, a pool, a little pool. I warned him that this was different, that it was the Atlantic Ocean at its wildest, ”she explained.

But Roberto ignored his partner's warnings and decided to go swimming. "I told him to be careful. He began to swim and a current came that began to take him out ”, he continued with the story.

"I saw that he began to get overwhelmed and, since we Galicians are trained in that, I went along the rocks, I told him to go diagonally and I managed to get him out," he concluded with the story. Although it was not the only time that Jesus saved someone's life: on another occasion, he went with a friend in Formentera.
