The daily "family ritual" that Pedro Sánchez has with his daughters wherever he is in the world

40 years ago, little Pedro Sánchez, 11, would have little imagined that he would end up becoming President of the Government of Spain. The Madrid native has managed to be re-elected for four more years, going against all the polls that showed him defeated.

Although his political side is openly known, little is known about his private life. However, with the publication of his book Tierra Firme, some of these aspects have come to light, and they will not leave anyone indifferent. And if there is one thing that is clear to him, it is that for him the most important thing is family, and that is why he has not hesitated to dedicate this monograph to them with a simple: "To my family."

Among other things, Sánchez has revealed an act that he has to do every day without fail with his daughters. Something that could be said to be her daily "family ritual." The President of the Government has expressed that, by not always seeing his daughters and his wife, Begoña Gómez, he has a small detail: to culturalize his family.

"It doesn't matter where I am in the world: every morning through our WhatsApp group, I send a link to my daughters. It can be science or culture news or a song I've heard, the latest song from a singer that we all like or the group that I just discovered," he said.

And Pedro Sánchez has a great love for music, above all, because it unites him with his family, and he wanted to leave that reflected in his book. "My daughters in turn share music with me. We often exchange Spotify lists," he said. If there is something that he likes and that he enjoys, it is discovering the music that his daughters listen to. "It brings me closer to them," he wanted to make clear.

A confession that has never ceased to surprise given the secrecy he has always had when talking about them, Ainhoa (18 years old) and Carlota (16 years old), the result of his relationship with Begoña, whom he married in 2006. And he couldn't be more in love with his better half. "With Begoña I share a love for sports, we like to go out riding our bikes together, take a walk in the countryside... We are both fans of reading and we like to talk about our readings," he said.

And, although he does not usually talk much about Ainhoa and Carlota, it is not the first time he has made a confession. During the electoral campaign, the President of the Government went to the La Pija y la Quinqui podcast, a place where private life comes to light, and did not hesitate to mention the two loves of his life.

Among other things, he explained that his first-born daughter was about to start university, and that she had finally decided on Psychology. "'It was difficult for him to decide and I told him 'it's okay, because I studied Economics and Business, and look where I've ended up,'" she said.
