Canadian actress Caterina Scorsone, known for her leading role in Grey's Anatomy, has revealed that she lost much of her life, property, furniture and memories in a fire a couple of months ago. But what hurts her young mother the most is that, despite having saved her daughters, she could not do anything to rescue her pets from the dangerous flames.

The artist has uploaded a publication to her Instagram account where she has shared some photos of the terrible event that they experienced a few weeks ago. Scorsone has explained in a lengthy text how she dealt with finding out her house was on fire and how she was able to save her daughters.

The narration of the fire carried out by the interpreter in the publication makes the hair stand on end and has silenced her followers: "A couple of months ago my house caught fire. As I was getting my kids ready for bed and finishing bath time, smoke started coming out of the crack around the tub. When I looked down the hall, a river of thick black smoke had already formed and filled the house.''

The actress says that everything happened very quickly and she barely had time to act, but she was able to be aware of what was happening and saved her little ones: ''One thing about fires: they happen fast. I had about two minutes to get my three children out of the house, and we escaped with less than shoes on our feet. But we went out. And for that I am eternally grateful. Heartbreakingly, we lost all four of our pets. We're still not over that loss, but we're lucky to have been able to love them.''

Now, several months after the incident and having recovered his life a bit, Scorsone wanted to thank all those who have helped him in this process, both on that day and today: "This is not a post about a fire. This is a post about the community. This is a love letter to the amazing people who showed up and the amazing ways they did it. Thank you to the firefighters and investigators."

''Thank you to my neighbor who responded to our frantic knocking on her door. Thank you to my children's school parents who sent toys and books, to my friends at @greysabc and @shondaland who sent clothes and supplies, to my sisters who flew in to take care of the logistics so I could be with my children. Thanks to my team that made everything easier, "wrote the very excited actress on her social networks.

The actress ended the post by reflecting on what really matters: the people you love, the community, helping each other and overcoming misfortunes together, united by and to move forward. The actress has also clarified that she wanted to publish this carousel of images to honor the place they once called "home", as well as "the animals that loved them so much".

Caterina Scorsone has more than 3.9 million followers on the Instagram social network, so the publication has been filled with comments in a matter of minutes. Thousands of people have wanted to send their encouragement to her family and wish her all the luck in the world in the new phase after the fire.
