There is nothing else talked about in the whole world than the Met Gala 2024. This morning the favorite event for fashion and haute couture lovers was held at the Metropolitan Museum in New York in which hundreds of public figures have posed in quirky, fun, stylish and, in some cases, somewhat questionable outfits.
On this occasion, the theme of the gala was ''Sleeping Beauties: The Reawakening of Fashion'' and the official dress code was inspired by a short story written by British author J. G. Ballard in 1962: The Garden of Time.
Although it has been a night of absences (Beyoncé, Rihanna and Blake Lively decided not to attend the celebration), there was great expectation due to the fame of the hosts: Jennifer Lopez, Zendaya, Bad Bunny and Chris Hemsworth.
As it could not be otherwise, one of the great protagonists of the evening was Kim Kardashian. The influencer and businesswoman from the United States arrived at the event with some of her sisters and left those present speechless with an incredible outfit in blue and gray tones.
For this occasion, Kendall Jenner's sister chose a design by John Galliano for Maison Margie that mixes tradition and avant-garde in which, above all, a detailed corset with metallic and crystallized decorations stands out. Born from said piece comes a beautiful long skirt that tries to simulate the texture of broken mirrors.
The outfit has not left anyone indifferent. While a large portion of Internet users have been disappointed with the outfit, others have been surprised by the choice and have given it positive reviews on networks such as TikTok, Instagram or X (formerly Twitter).
This morning, the La Sexta Aruser@s program echoed the famous gala held in New York. After a brief review of the different looks of the stars, Tatiana Arús wanted to highlight the very narrow waist that Kardashian has presented: ''For me, five ribs have been removed (...) It is practically impossible for a person to have such a waist. She looked like she couldn't breathe.'
The comment from the contributor to the Atresmedia magazine is in line with many of the messages that can be read on microblogging platforms, since thousands of people have been shocked to discover how tight Kim Kardashian's corset was.
