Susanna Griso's anger in 'Espejo Público': "In short, you have failed me"

Making live television is not an easy task. Every day, dozens of television formats experience the adrenaline of getting in front of the camera and that everything can go wrong and go very wrong. The extra effort that improvisation implies and the naturalness of recording at the same moment that a program is broadcast make this type of format have a special charm, since there is no room for artificers or deception.

Over the years, viewers have witnessed all kinds of situations: dizziness from presenters and collaborators, sound failures, blunders in some text... moments that, although a priori can dirty the image of the television space, later they are accepted by the public as something natural and inevitable, and even as something close and human.

Something like this happened yesterday in the Antena 3 space presented by Susanna Griso, Espejo Público. When the magazine addressed its political section, Griso began to moderate a debate on the different topics of the day: the 'disbanded' of Ciudadanos, Yolanda Díaz's new political project or Ferrovial's decision, but it was when they began to talk about the last act of the mayor of Madrid playing tennis with Feliciano López when the presenter was disappointed.

''There is already the mayor in the pre-campaign and he leaves us this image that I cannot get tired of seeing. Martínez Almeida wants to reconcile with the world of sport and makes great efforts,'' Griso began by telling the spectators with a certain irony in reference to the clumsiness of the politician in some acts where he has hit 'balls' at different attendees.

''And, well, we have seen him face Feliciano López in a promotional act for the Masters in Madrid. It must be said that Feliciano was very good,'' said the presenter before asking her colleagues to put up a compilation of the videos where Almeida failed in his attempts to seem like a good athlete.

"But I can take advantage, please Eduardo, give me that gift and for our fellow members and viewers of all the lost balls," he asked in a funny way, only to be greatly disappointed afterwards: "Don't you have the tails of all the lost balls ?, my God, finally. You have failed me miserably."

Despite the harsh words of the journalist, the Espejo Público workers began to look for the piece and in less than two minutes they told her that they already had it available. ''Thank you, thank you comrades, there it is,'' replied Griso.

After watching the video and laughing at the great moments starring the mayor of Madrid, the presenter brought the section to an end, acknowledging that she could watch the audiovisual piece without getting tired: "We could spend three hours."
