This past Saturday night, the eve of Christmas Eve, Telecinco presented the first special of 'A tu pelota', a new Christmas contest that brought together Pocholo Martínez-Bordiú, Natalia and Nacho Guerreros in a marble competition, with the purpose of winning money to donate to charitable causes. With Lara Álvarez and Florentino Fernández as presenters, the program promised fun, excitement and spectacular marble circuits.
However, social networks condemned the premiere of 'A tu pelota' with strong criticism. Users expressed their discontent with comments such as "Zapping on television, playing 'A tu pelota' and having a deja vu of television from the 90s. Despite the international connection of the format, with versions in countries such as Holland, Germany, France and Belgium, the Spanish adaptation failed to conquer local viewers upon its first contact.
