Shakira was in danger on the set of the 'Empty Cup' video clip: "He who can save himself"

Shakira's life has been going through a whirlwind of events and events in recent weeks. This morning it was known that the Colombian singer had another open case for alleged tax crime in the personal income tax in 2018.

This is added to the trial that was already pending in the autumn and to all the whirlwind of his separation with Gerard Piqué, his link with Clara Chía and his rumors of a relationship with Lewis Hamilton. But everything could have been in the background because of an accident.

And it is that the international artist suffered a major mishap during the filming of her latest video clip, Copa Vacía. In it, the Barranquilla native appears dressed as a mermaid to sing a song that she continues to send messages and darts to her ex-partner. However, the process of creating this piece was about to cost him a displeasure. As she recounted on the Univision Primer Impacto program, the fishbowl where she was filming broke.

“The fish tank broke, the set began to flood and they had to take me out of there. I couldn't get out because I had a mermaid tail and I couldn't climb out. They had to take me out with a crane, save yourself who can. Luckily it was just an anecdote and I'm here to tell it, ”explained the Colombian.

An incident that almost ended in tragedy, but that did not go further. The singer also tells how the artist with whom she collaborated on the song, Manuel Turizo, anticipated a possible accident.

“Manuel had warned me that the fish tank was going to break. I told him that it was impossible, that we had bulletproof security standards. But what he predicted came true," Shakira told Alejandra Espinosa, the host of Primer Impacto. The image of the singer getting out of a broken fish tank by crane will remain as an anecdote of the busy 2023 that the winner of three Grammys and a Latin Grammy is experiencing.

As we mentioned previously, the one from Barranquilla has once again been summoned before the judge for an alleged crime of tax evasion. The Investigation Court number 2 of Esplugues de Llobregat accused him of two tax offenses in his 2018 statement: one for fraud in the Income statement and another for wealth tax. The exact amounts claimed from her are not yet known, but they will be added to those that will make her sit on the bench on November 20.

The Barcelona Prosecutor's Office asks him for eight years and two months in prison and a fine of 23.8 million euros, for a total accusation of six crimes against the Public Treasury and a fraud of 14.5 million between 2012 and 2014, pretending that he did not live in Spain. Her defense alleges that she did not establish her residence in Spain until 2014 and stresses that, since 2011, the singer has paid more than 104 million euros in taxes worldwide.
