The Promise has returned another day to the small screen with a most exciting episode. In the latest installment of the La 1 Spanish Television series, Curro and Feliciano have been shot and wounded by the butcher hired by Lorenzo and Cruz during the hunt.
Although Curro has not died, he is in a very critical situation and will have to undergo life-or-death surgery, while Feliciano seems to be doing better. Cruz gets angry with Lorenzo because the plan has not gone as they wanted although they predict that Curro will die sooner or later.
María Fernández admits that she is not going to work at La Promesa again and has told Salvador that she is going to look for work outside. Candela returns and puts an end to suspicions that she had eloped with Don Carlos while Vera stubbornly refuses to attend to Margarita's friend, the Duchess of Cerezuelo.
In the next chapter of The Promise Curro is on the verge of death with Cruz and Lorenzo conspiring to have him die at the hands of Abel in the operation. Feliciano seems to improve after the operation although they need a blood donor for the first one.
Rómulo and Pía are the first to realize that the hunt in which Curro and Feliciano have been seriously injured by two gunshots has something very suspicious and that it could not be an accident without bad faith.
María Fernández is about to leave Luján forever and the palace staff wants to prevent it at all costs. Therefore, Catalina desperately asks Pelayo to talk to Cruz to convince her and readmit the maid.
