Mercedes Milá speaks after the cancellation of 'Save me' and sends an emotional message to Jorge Javier Vázquez

Next June 16 will be the last day of the broadcast of Sálvame after 14 years on the air. A piece of news that caught the team of the program live after the information advanced by El Mundo. Hence the emotional containment of María Patiño or the hints hours later during the Deluxe.

That Save me will go down in history, it is a fact. But life also goes on and that's what Jorge Javier Vázquez wanted to joke about with his mother this Sunday in a funniest video about the future of Catalan and that generated a multitude of comments. One of them, that of Mercedes Milá, with whom Vázquez had his ups and downs in the past. However, now the presenter wanted to convey her support in a most affectionate message.

Kiko Hernández and Kiko Matamoros were the first collaborators to speak out publicly regarding the cancellation of Sálvame. Later, María Patiño or Terelu Campos arrived and, of course, Jorge Javier Vázquez. The presenter took advantage of Mother's Day to be ironic and talk about her uncertain professional future in an ingenious video with her mother.

"Mom, I'm sorry I spoiled your day," he wrote on his Instagram account, accompanying his words to the aforementioned video. In the images, of just a few seconds, you can see how the journalist's mother tells him “not even on Mother's Day can I be calm. Now what are you gonna do?". To which Jorge Javier humorously replies: "Maybe back to the theater." "How did it go so well last time...", says the mother.

A few minutes after the video was published, the comments section was filled with messages from followers applauding the way in which the cancellation of his program had been taken, in addition to sending him numerous signs of support.

But not only the fans of the presenter wanted to encourage him, but also colleagues like Mercedes Milá, with whom we remember that he had his tensions in the past.

The communicator, very faithful to not biting her tongue and to speaking loud and clear despite being on rival channels, wrote an emotional message to him in the face of the bad moment that Catalan is going through.

“They have told you many nice things; that is our patrimony”, he began by saying. "I don't know if you're sad or happy, whatever it is, you have me by your side," Milá assured him, who knows very well what Vázquez is going through at the moment. Let's remember that Mediaset did not renew the journalist's contract and, for this reason, she ended up signing for Movistar Plus.
