Lucía Rivera talks about the disappointment she suffered after meeting her biological father: "He extorted my mother"

Lucía Rivera shows her most sincere facet in her new book, Nothing is what it seems, where she has shared various experiences and moments of her life. The young model rose to fame for being a "daughter of"-her mother is the actress Blanca Romero, and her adoptive father, Cayetano Rivera-. That is why she has decided to tell her story, seen from her own point of view and not from that of the press. In one of the chapters of the book, the model has related how she lived the moment in which she met her biological father, whose identity she has never revealed. Despite her enthusiasm for meeting him, it was an experience that ended in disappointment.

The young model deals with delicate issues in her book, such as the sexist violence she suffered in her first relationships with boys, and also talks about her parents, the adoptive (Cayetano Rivera, although she refers to him as C. to "protect him") and of the biological (whom he got to know in person, as he has told on other occasions). During this 216-page book, the young model opens up about several family aspects that have always been a mystery to the press.

In one of these chapters, Lucía recounts that her mother, who brought her into the world on September 11, 1998, had complications during childbirth and the consequences were painful: "She did not want a cesarean section, but in the end they had to do it and Both femurs were broken at birth." An experience that marked the beginning of her life and also the life of the renowned actress.

But without a doubt, if there is something that has generated great interest during his 24 years of life, it is the identity of his biological father. Blanca Romero, in the summer of 2015, took the step of sharing a photo of her daughter's father on the networks for the first time. Now, the young woman remembers how she went through the process of wanting to discover, in her childhood, who was her parent. Lucía has taken the step of telling readers how she experienced her first meeting with her father.

"I didn't find out much either. I was ten years old, I found out over time. Obviously, when a girl is adopted she is intrigued by genetics, especially when you go to the doctor," says the model in her book. She herself asked her mother to meet her father, something that happened when she was 11 years old. "It was an unfortunate encounter. I had put him as a superhero. I think that more or less the same thing happens to all adopted people," she begins by recounting her. "When I met him, everything was fine until he did it from behind," explains the model.

And it is that, although things started well, he ended up not maintaining contact with his father. "My father had not come to meet me. The villain had come to extort my mother and ask her for money in exchange for some videos from when she was a child and they had relationships," she explains in the book. But it is not the only family controversy that he recounts in these memoirs... and it is that in them he also talks about Cayetano Rivera, whom he considers his father from an early age, and about the relationship he had with his ex-partner, Eva González .

"I know that at the beginning and in his own way, my father fought for me. And as expected, he rebuilt his life with a woman who, at first, to her disgust, only hid her displeasure towards me," she begins by saying, and reveals that both they maintained a distant relationship for some time. The situation improved thanks to the birth of Cayetano Rivera, son of the bullfighter and Eva. Lucía took advantage of this moment to bring positions closer: "I appeared with a gift box that I bought in a bazaar when I went to meet him as a newborn. It was not a great gift because I did not have a penny, but the important thing is the detail," he says in the book .

"Although I have grown up locked in what they will say, I have understood that everyone, even my father's ex-wife, from whom I incomprehensibly would have liked to receive a little bit of affection, have done the best they could", he expressed in the biography she has written. Without a doubt, Lucía has not had an easy life. A life with many bumps that she has now decided to talk about, in order to help people who have gone through situations similar to hers.
