Leonor, protagonist of 'Point de vue'

Point de vue, the well-known French magazine specializing in royal houses, dedicates the main article of this week's issue to Princess Eleanor. The reason is to have recently confirmed how she will be preparing her once she finishes her high school studies in Wales.

"Leonor of Spain, the year of challenges", is the headline on the cover and as a subtitle: "In a context of controversy". The chosen photo of the eldest daughter of kings Felipe and Letizia, was taken last October in Oviedo during the hearings for the Princess of Asturias awards.

The inside report is an analysis of the immediate future of the heiress to the throne of Spain, in the year that she will reach her majority. Once she leaves the UWC Atlantic College, in Wales, where she has been studying for the last two years, and after the summer holidays, Leonor will begin her military training at the Zaragoza Military Academy in September. A three-year training to get to know the three armies from within as the future head of the Armed Forces.

“Many then hope that the young woman, like her father, will continue her law studies at an Anglo-Saxon university. Returning to Spain will allow her, above all, to meet again with commitments in which she has to conquer the hearts of the Spanish and of which she now controls all the gears ”, she details.

Point de vue indicates that surely he will not be able to swear the Constitution on October 31, the day he will be 18 years old. “The next legislative elections must be called on November 10 at the latest. This implies a dissolution of the Cortes several weeks before the call to the polls, ”announces the magazine, noting that Leonor's oath will most likely take place in 2024.

The magazine article ends with a reflection on the role as heiress and future queen that the Princess of Asturias faces: “From her first official steps, Leonor has had to deal with the instability that reigns in Spain. Her smile is still angelic and her perfect appearance. But from now on she must assert new assets to embody, despite the bad and adversity, the future of the country ”.

Princess Leonor will travel to Spain tomorrow to spend the Easter holidays and will return to Wales on April 16 to face the final stretch of the course.
