Kate Middleton and Prince William celebrate their anniversary with a romantic photo

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are celebrating. This Monday, April 29, Kate Middleton and the heir to the British throne, Prince William, celebrate their thirteenth wedding anniversary. The couple said 'I do' on April 29, 2011 at Westminster Abbey. The ceremony brought together all European royal houses at that time, who did not want to miss one of the most anticipated weddings of royalty.

It is not very common for the princes of Wales to commemorate this special day through their social networks. However, due to the latest events that have surrounded the British royal family, Prince William and his wife wanted to have this emotional gesture on their Instagram profile.

The couple shared with their more than 16 million followers an unpublished image of the royal wedding in black and white, accompanied by the following text: ''13 years ago today!''. The image comes more than a month after the Princess of Wales announced to the entire world that she had been diagnosed with cancer and that she was already undergoing preventive chemotherapy treatment.

''In January I underwent major abdominal surgery in London and at the time my condition was thought to be non-cancerous. The surgery was successful. However, subsequent tests discovered that there was cancer (...) Now I am in the early stages of that treatment,'' Prince William's wife revealed in the announcement video.

However, Kate Middleton's difficult health situation has not been the only thing that has kept British society in suspense. And the health of the monarch has also been one of the topics of greatest interest in recent days. This past Friday, April 26, several English media outlets claimed that the state of health of King Charles III was delicate and that the cancer treatment, which he was diagnosed with in January, was not giving the expected results.

But against all odds, Buckingham Palace issued a statement that same day in which they confirmed that the English monarch was going to resume his public agenda this coming Tuesday, April 30, to attend a cancer treatment center.
