Kate Beckinsale attacks those who accuse her of having undergone surgery: “Stop now”

Kate Beckinsale is fed up. The protagonist of the Underworld saga would not want to have to give explanations about her physical appearance, but she has been forced to do so after months and months of “incessant harassment” to which she is being subjected by Internet users with nothing better to do to comment on his alleged trips to the operating room and aesthetic treatments.

The British actress, who has turned 50, took to her Instagram account and furiously explained what those horrible comments are doing to her mental health. The interpreter shared two videos on the social network: one from 20 years ago, the other from a week ago, when she attended a charity gala; to talk about her appearance.

“I hate talking about this, because I hate adding anything to this conversation, but I do it because insidious harassment of any kind over time takes its toll,” the actress begins by explaining.

“These videos may be 20 years apart, maybe more. Every time I post something – and by the way, this has been the case since I was around 30 – I get accused of having had unrecognizable surgery/using Botox using fillers/being obsessed with looking younger; and it is really such a tedious task and subtle vicious way to intimidate a person,” she says.

The actress claims to even have “evidence” to prove that this was not true. “I have gone to the trouble of having a plastic surgeon tell me categorically that I do not do it and that I have not done it,” she insists, reiterating that her appearance is the result of aging.

“Life happens - obviously I have aged, everyone ages,” she explains, denying the accusations of touch-ups and confessing her truth: “I am not too worried about aging, because I found my father dead at the age of 5, I spent most of my teens and much of my 20s absolutely crippled with severe anxiety and panic attacks that I was going to die from.”

The actress also reveals that she suffered a heart attack in her youth, as well as severe anxiety attacks. something she considers “deeply ironic.” According to the actress, she never thought she would survive her youth. Aging is something she greatly appreciates, and the difference in her face is a product of makeup.

“I am posting this knowing full well that it will have no effect. "It's not going to stop," she laments, knowing that his posts will go viral - as they are - and one of the most talked about news stories in the coming days.

Still, she implores her detractors to stop with the comments once and for all, both with her and with anyone who is suffering with a situation similar to hers. “Constantly accusing him of things he hasn't done or being obsessed with youth when in reality, I'm currently obsessed with surviving a loss, is bullying. Please stop now,” she asks.

Naturally, the actress's publication gave rise to hundreds of comments from users on social networks, who once again accused her of lying about her situation and having undergone cosmetic touch-ups. Comments that, once again, not only proved her words, but added another burden to her mental health, just a few weeks after the actress left the hospital for an undisclosed illness.
