Juan José Ballesta returns to court for an alleged sexual assault in Parla

New blow for the well-known Spanish actor Juanjo Ballesta. As revealed by Europa Press, a judge has proposed a self-trial of the protagonist of El Bola, Querido Maestro or Hispania for an alleged sexual assault on a woman in Parla last July.

In the order cited on April 17, the judge agreed to transform the proceedings into an ordinary summary. The next step of the procedure will be the official order opening the oral trial.

The actor has been fighting for months to prove his innocence and, on different occasions, has explained that he does not know the alleged victim of the sexual assault for which he is currently accused.

Within the framework of the investigation, the defense lawyer, Beatriz Uriarte, requested that the different actions be archived, alleging that the injured party presented different contradictions in her speech.

The accusation maintains that the woman was sexually assaulted by two different men in the Madrid town on different days. In the case of Ballesta, the events would have occurred on July 20 after the actor went with the 'victim' to withdraw money from an ATM.

Despite the inconsistencies, the judge has decided to conclude the investigation of the case and begin the procedure that will judge whether Juanjo Ballesta and Raúl G. B. really committed said action against the woman in Parla.

According to what has been learned, after suffering the alleged attack, the victim had to be admitted to a psychiatric hospital for 12 days. Once he arrived at said center, it was the health professionals who decided to file a complaint upon learning what had happened in the Madrid town.

The case has given rise to a lot of talk, since the woman suffers from schizophrenia. However, during the investigation, experts on the disease ruled out that the accusation was born of said serious mental disorder and that the woman suffered from any type of delirium that would have led her to lie in a case as important as this.

As expected, the case has made hundreds of headlines in our country, since Ballesta is an acclaimed actor and has participated in highly prestigious audiovisual projects in Spain. At the moment, the actor has not commented on the order of April 17, but everything indicates that he will maintain his position and that he will continue to plead innocent.
