José Manuel Parada reveals the most probable cause of the death of Mari Carmen and her dolls

María del Carmen Martínez-Villaseñor Barrasa, known by her stage name Mari Carmen and her dolls, has died at the age of 80 after suffering a fall in Tenerife. After learning the news of her death, there have been many friends and colleagues who have wanted to say goodbye to the artist, one of the most beloved faces on the national scene.

The death of the beloved comedian has caught everyone by surprise. After half past seven in the afternoon last Thursday, the Local Police of Puerto De la Cruz was informed that an elderly woman was found fallen in the middle of the sidewalk of one of the streets of the town.

What's more, it was precisely some of his closest friends who were in charge of sharing the news with his own family. That was the case of the comedian Tony Antonio, who was in charge of giving the tragic news to the son of the ventriloquist, Miguel Almanzor, after learning of the fatal news in the WhatsApp group that Mari Carmen herself had created days before to summon his friends to the party of his 80 return to the sun.

A celebration to which another of his friends, José Manuel Parada, was also invited, which reveals that it is not ruled out that the reason for his fall was a myocardial infarction.

The presenter confirmed the news on RNE 24 Horas after speaking with the son of the ventriloquist, who, as Parada stated, "is devastated". As confirmed by the first information, the comedian would have fainted on the street where she lived. "Everything suggests that it was a heart attack," says Parada, after speaking with relatives. Said heart attack would have been the cause of the fall.

The comedian died in Puerto De la Cruz, Tenerife, alone and without qualified service personnel who could attend to her; something she had been complaining about lately. What's more, Mari Carmen herself was afraid that something could happen to her, given her age, and that no one could help her. Her only contact, her dear friend Moncho Borrajo, who lived a few meters from her house, but who could not prevent such a fatal outcome either.

The comedian also wanted to say goodbye to his beloved Carmela, sad that he could not have been by the side of his "crazy wonderful".

"Carmela, you had agreed to come see me and eat a good salmorejo rabbit, but... You've always been in a hurry, my friend", laments the comedian, who adds: "They tell me that you have sold everything in the theater that you go. It was not for less".
