José Luis Moreno appears before the judge dressed as 'Torrente' accused of leading an alleged scam network

The well-known producer and ventriloquist José Luis Moreno testified this Wednesday in the National Court investigated for an alleged crime of money laundering within the framework of 'operation Titella'. Moreno has arrived at the courthouse smiling with a look that clearly recalls the outfit of the protagonist of the Torrente saga, of which he himself was the villain.

This is the second time that Moreno testifies in the investigation phase of this case in which he is being investigated. At first, he took advantage of his right not to testify during his arrest in July 2021 and the magistrate questioned him in February of last year at the request of the ventriloquist himself. "I trust in justice, but not in lies," he said after an hour and a half testifying before the judge.

José Luis Moreno has left the National Court satisfied and has revealed that everything has gone "superbly well" and he is "very calm and not at all nervous" after being able to explain himself to the magistrate. When asked about what he has stated, Moreno commented that he has said "little." And with his particular smile he pointed out that "it's all false, all false." When asked if he is afraid of ending up in prison, Moreno says. "No, man. I trust in justice."

In this procedure, the National Court investigates, among other matters, the activities of an alleged plot that sought to seek "fraudulent financing" from banks and private investors.

The judge long ago asked RTVE for documentation on the contract for the series Aqui manda yo y.com after receiving a report from the Civil Guard that indicated that the actor and director Santiago Segura "through the company Entertainment SL, in collaboration with In 2017, the company Integral Mundox Producciones SL signed a contract of 6,299,106.47 euros with TVE, for the recording of the series" by José Luis Moreno.

To sign this contract, the Civil Guard maintains that, according to its own agendas, Moreno "maintained numerous contacts and meetings" with the former directors summoned to testify.

The head of the Central Court of Instruction number 2, Ismael Moreno, also scheduled a new round of interrogations for this week, among which were those of several former RTVE directors, although most of them have been suspended for different reasons.

Specifically, the former president of RTVE and later provisional administrator of Telemadrid, José Antonio Sánchez; the former director of Content and Programming Antonio Luis Sevilla and his successor Fernando López Puig. However, the judge has suspended his statements in the case of the former president of RTVE after his lawyer alleged that he had another accusation and that he needed time to prepare his defense.

José Luis Moreno, accused of fraud, money laundering, illicit association, falsification of documents, punishable insolvency and crimes against the Public Treasury, is on conditional release, with the obligation to appear weekly in court, withdrawal of passport and prohibition from leaving the country .
