Joaquín Prat questions the “psychotic break” of Conde-Pumpido's son: “Are you ready to go to court the next day?”

Cándido Conde-Pumpido Varela has once again been in the media spotlight for one of his controversies. The son of the President of the Constitutional Court was admitted to the Ramón y Cajal hospital for a psychotic break, as published in the media, after an altercation at the Mediaset gate.

The National Police did not hesitate to perform a drug test on him, which finally came back positive. The next day, and after requesting voluntary discharge, the lawyer was able to leave to go to court where he testified regarding the complaint of an alleged assault on his ex-partner. And it is on the issue of the outbreak that Joaquín Prat has expressed his doubts.

“He requested voluntary discharge after hospitalization for a… sometimes, I don't know, do we sometimes use the term psychotic outbreak too lightly?” the presenter questioned in his program Let's see. And it is not entirely clear to him that he can leave on his own in a few hours after an episode of these characteristics.

“I don't know if that is the diagnosis, the reason for admission, but it has been published in the media that he suffered a psychotic break. After a psychotic break, are you going to court the next day? ”She added, asking a question to Dr. María Velasco, a regular contributor to the space.

“When you have consumed some type of drug or alcohol, or whatever, you have symptoms that seem psychotic,” the doctor revealed, making it clear that it could not have been like that and that everything could be due to the substances. Likewise, she has stated that when someone goes to the hospital “with symptoms of behavioral disorders” it is necessary to “rule out the possibility that they have consumed drugs.”

This is because if this factor exists, “no diagnosis of a psychotic episode” can be made because what they are “under the influence of a substance,” as Velasco has expressed.

Given all this information, Alfonso Egea wanted to explain an event that happened a few days before and that he himself experienced firsthand. “48 hours ago I had Cándido here. Without making any diagnosis, he gave me the feeling that he was very into several things,” he confessed, following the line set forth by Joaquín Prat and María Velasco.

And, apart from everything that is being discussed on the television sets, Conde-Pumpido Jr. himself was asked by journalists. “Sorry, I have to go to court, I can't answer,” he said on Tuesday. “You're seeing me, aren't you?” He answered the question about his current state.
