The singer and actress is considered one of the heavyweights in the current industry, but she has always been clear about one thing: she would not have gotten to where she is without the support of her parents, Guadalupe and David.
We had seen the singer's mother, Guadalupe Rodríguez, on more than one occasion with her famous daughter; Not so David Lopez, who at 81 has always remained in the discreet background. Until now, he has gladly posed with her daughter on her Instagram account, in a video that the singer shared to celebrate Father's Day - a whole party last weekend in the Anglo-Saxon world.
The singer's father appears in a cute video in which he talks to his daughter, which he uses to promote his new cocktail drink, Delola. David Lopez becomes the best brand ambassador for his daughter, and he can't stop laughing while she records the tender scene.
The singer has always kept her parents very protected, well aware of the ravages of fame. Both from Puerto Rico, they met in New York during their youth, deciding to start a family in the already famous Castle Hill neighborhood that her daughter has referred to so many times in her songs.
Her mother has appeared several times with her at public events, social networks and even being the image of advertising campaigns for her products; she also along with her two other daughters of hers, Leslie and Lynda Lopez, 51 years old. David Lopez, for his part, has always supported his daughter, but from intimacy, not being given to appear in public in the same way as his wife.
Even so, his daughter has also reminded him on many occasions on his social networks, assuring that his father is "the best man he has ever met in his life."
The publication of the video came just a few hours after her first tribute for Father's Day, which she dedicated to her husband, actor Ben Affleck.
"Happy Father's Day to all the amazing fathers out there, especially this one here," the singer said, in appreciation of her husband, "Thank you for being the best partner and father we could have ever wished for." Of course, sharing an image that unleashed madness on the networks, showing the impressive physique of the 50-year-old actor.
Obviously, the comments did not wait, with many users of the social network describing the actress as wanting to attract attention with a totally "unnecessary" image on a day as beautiful and tender as Father's Day. Others also described the publication that she shared by David Lopez as a "strategy" to divert attention, after all the criticism received.
