First words of María del Monte after suffering an assault in her home: "Thank God, we are fine"

This Sunday morning the news came to light that the singer María del Monte had suffered an assault at her home when she and her partner, the journalist Inmaculada Casal, were inside. The residence, located in the town of Gines (Seville), was assaulted by a group of hooded men during the early hours of last Friday. As the EFE agency pointed out, the Judicial Police of the Civil Guard has opened an investigation to clarify the facts. This Sunday, Fiesta de verano got the first statements from the artist after this hard episode.

At the moment, no more information has been disclosed about what happened during the early hours of Friday at the artist's house. As reported by EFE, the agents of the Judicial Police have already carried out a first visual inspection of the artist's property, with the aim of finding any indication that allows the identification of the perpetrators of this assault. So far, it is known that there are no detainees, and that the couple has already declared.

As the Diario de Sevilla reported this Sunday, it is known that the assailants "were a group made up of at least five people and that they all went with their faces covered and gloves to avoid leaving traces. They stole an amount of money that has not been disclosed." We will have to wait to find out more information about what happened, but what is clear is that the couple will have had a great scare when they ran into the group of hooded men inside their house late in the morning.

While Vanitatis pointed out, citing a source close to the artist, that María was 'in shock', Fiesta de verano, from Telecinco, got her first statements. The collaborator of the space, Aurelio Manzano, was able to speak with the artist. On police recommendation, Del Monte wants to remain silent so as not to hinder the investigation, however, he has expressed how they are after the scare. "She is very calm. Her message says 'we are fine, thank God, we are fine,' explained the collaborator on the program.

"She, by itself, is quite private, imagine with an open investigation," Aurelio explained. "The only thing she says is that, since the house is full of press, 'the only thing I ask is that they do not focus on the house,'" she sentenced. As the program explains, the investigation continues its course, and several hypotheses are being considered. One of them says that it could be a coincidence that the couple was inside the house. Another of the hypotheses being considered would come to point to a gang that would have already committed other assaults in the area, robbing power lines.

It is not the only assault on an artist that has transcended the media in recent days. Precisely, at the beginning of this week it came to light that the singer Miguel Bosé and his children were assaulted by a group of strangers at his residence in Mexico. In the case of the interpreter of Morena mía, they left those tied to them and their personal equipment in their home for two hours, before escaping with various of their belongings: from jewelry and ornaments to cash, including the artist's personal vehicle. Now we will have to wait to find out more details about the case of María del Monte.
