Father Apeles reports on his delicate state of health: "I wait for the end"

José Apeles Santolaria de Puey y Cruells, known in our country as Father Apeles, was one of the most publicized public figures of the 1990s in Spain. Priest, lawyer, commentator, television presenter, writer... Apelles has done it all in his career, something he has always been proud of.

Although the priest no longer lives in the Iberian Peninsula and moved his permanent residence to the Italian capital, Apeles returns to his native country whenever he can to carry out different personal projects, as well as to enjoy the different Hispanic festivals and celebrations.

Currently, the media lawyer is working on the recording of a new interview program for Channel 4, a project in which he is committed and with which he hopes to achieve great repercussions, especially in the area of Catalonia and the Balearic Islands.

Before broadcasting said project openly, the priest has given some incredible statements to El Español in which he assures that this work is something exceptional, since he is retired from television: ''Once a month I record interviews for a chain that is seen in Catalonia and the Balearic Islands that I have taken it as a little fun''.

The man from Barcelona stated in the interview that he learned a lot from the controversial journalist Javier Sardá, from whom he stands out for his good work rate, his interesting interventions with a great sense of humor and his good professional work.

She has also taken this opportunity to send a loud and clear message against those who claim that her friend Rocío Carrasco was to blame for the cancellation of Sálvame, a thought that the priest does not share at all: "It has nothing to do with her. The formula was exhausted a long time ago and the tastes of the spectators change. I love her very much and everything she has had to go through hurts me. I hope one day I can be somewhat happy.''

When the journalists from the previously mentioned medium asked him about the vital moment in which he finds himself, Father Apeles did not hesitate and opened up, answering that he is in the "sunset" of his existence.

The lawyer has assured that he is living a hard time in his life and that his state of health is very fragile and that he tires quickly. "I sleep a lot, I read everything, I pray for my sins, I walk very little, I eat a lot, I follow current affairs in detail, I go to concerts, dinners, conferences... and I wait for the end, like everyone else," he has declared openly.
