Ester Expósito confesses her sad reality: "Fame is getting to me"

Actress, model and one of the most followed women on social media at the moment. There is nothing that can resist Ester Expósito, even less so since she became known internationally as Carla Rosón in the famous Elite. She is Polo's girlfriend, heir to a marquisate, exuberant, sensual and influential; It is normal that the character fell in love with a whole legion of fans who have accompanied the actress and encouraged her since then.

A fame that has multiplied considerably, becoming the most followed Spaniard on Instagram until very recently - she currently has no less than 27 million followers on the social network. Something you just can't get used to, no matter how hard you try.

This was what the actress herself confessed in an interview with El País Semanal this past weekend. A conversation in which she admits that she continues to not feel comfortable with fame, despite the number of years that have passed since she began her career in show business.

Among other things, the actress confesses that she never dreamed of being famous, but simply of being an actress and being able to make a living from her work. "Fame was not an option," she laments, explaining that when she was younger her parents were the ones who helped her manage everything, something that changed when she was an adult. "Now I'm getting into a ball," she reveals.

However, starting to pursue her dreams as a teenager had its consequences. To begin with, she is not able to live a normal childhood and youth, something she now realizes. "I'm beginning to be aware that my life is not going to be what it was," she confesses, assuming that perhaps she "idealized" being an adult and wanting to "do grown-up things."

Some adult issues that she often finds difficult to face. Proof of this is her anxiety, which is shown when she does not know how to manage depending on what things. "I dedicate myself to what I like, but the pressure is very strong. I am a person with a lot of anxiety and exposure does not help me manage it," explains the actress, ensuring that fame "isolates" and makes her feel alone.

The worst thing about all that loneliness, all the rumors, speculations and lies that you have to read about yourself in the media and on the Internet. She tries to look away, but she can't help but feel angry that all those things are being said when she knows they aren't true.

An example, being called "unfriendly" by the press when she is overwhelmed by the attitude of some reporters in public; or the rumors about her alleged relationship, in the past, with the Puerto Rican singer Rauw Alejandro.

"The press can be very intrusive," says the actress in the interview, emphasizing again that all this exposure generates a lot of anxiety, deteriorating her mental health due to having to think so much about everything she does or says, being subject to so many comments. .
