Doypack cosmetics: is it really more ecological?

The cosmetics industry is possibly one of the sectors that adapts the fastest to social trends. Natural, vegan cosmetics, free of substances that are harmful to the skin and now also cosmetics in doypacks. The world of beauty and its consumers are not immune to climate change or the impact that human beings are leaving on the planet. For this reason, the sector is taking leaps and bounds to be truly green and reduce the carbon footprint as much as possible. Doypack cosmetics is one more example of these advances.

Doypack cosmetics are all those cosmetic products whose packaging is refillable as well as recyclable. In this way, it becomes a reusable and sustainable container with the environment.

The doypack formats were born as a solution that cosmetic brands put at the service of the consumer to contribute to the recyclability of the packaging and thus avoid its waste after a single use. Its name comes precisely from the fusion of Doyen —last name of the creator of this new format— and pack —of packaging—.

Doypack cosmetic containers can be made of various materials such as cardboard or recycled components, although it is true that the characteristics and applications are common: “The doypack bag is synonymous with efficiency and reliability. It treats of a packaging that gathers the maximum properties of stability and conservation ” affirm from Osona Seal Pack, specialist in design and manufacture of Doypack bags.

Despite the fact that the doypack container is called to be part of our lives due to its sustainability, its production is still complex, which makes its distribution on a large scale difficult.
