Dani Alves' first words after the decision of the Court: "Only two people know what happened"

After the Provincial Court of Barcelona rejected the appeal presented by his defense, Dani Alves will remain imprisoned until the trial is held for the alleged rape of a 23-year-old girl, at dawn on December 31 in a bathroom in the private room of the nightclub Sutton from Barcelona.

The last appeal presented by the soccer player's lawyer, Cristóbal Martell, has not convinced the three magistrates of the third chamber who in their last order insist on the risk of flight of the defendant.

In addition, the document is not limited to denying provisional release, but warns that the latest maneuvers by the defense, a new judicial declaration of the defendant and the registration and schooling of the two children in Barcelona, are nothing more than a strategy directed to solidify this resource that has not finally prospered.

The journalist Nacho Abad has exposed in his appearance on the En boca de todos de Cuatro program the Brazilian's reaction to this latest judicial decision. “Only two people know what happened and above all what did not happen. I am telling the truth. I think that everyone understands that I was trying to save my marriage and that is why I said what I said at first ”, he pointed out, quoting the footballer. “That was the only reason and I have nothing to hide. There is talk of infinite versions and I have only testified twice before the judge ”, the former soccer player has defended.

“I have been in prison since January 20 and I have not yet been tried. It will prove that I am not guilty and it was a consensual relationship. It would never cross my mind to impose the sexual act on anyone as has been written", the former Barcelona player has transmitted.

The defendant has also stated that he has collaborated with the police at all times: “I went to the police of my own free will from Mexico and I refused to go to Brazil, a country that would not have collaborated with Spain in my surrender. I did it to defend myself and prove my innocence ”, he stated through the journalist.

Finally, Dani Alves, following the strategy drawn up by his defense, wanted to remember the family roots he has in Barcelona: “My life is here. I have and have always had a life project in Barcelona. I have offered myself by all means that I would continue from here ”, he has settled.
