Cristina Pedroche's mysterious tradition with grapes is revealed in 'El Novato'

When New Year's Eve arrives, you not only have to prepare not to choke on grapes, but also to fulfill those little superstitions that promise a new year full of good luck. There are many well-known ones, such as wearing red underwear, but each person has their own. And celebrities are no strangers to this.

Cristina Pedroche, who among many other things is known for being the presenter of Las Campanadas on Antena 3, has revealed a curious superstition in her appearance on El Novato. The communicator, interviewed by former soccer player Joaquín Sánchez, has confessed that she only eats grapes on New Year's Eve, a tradition that she scrupulously observes every year.

During his conversation with Joaquín, who has started a new professional stage after retiring from football and is now dedicated to interviewing different personalities, Pedroche shared details about his personal and professional life. Among them, she highlighted her experience for ten years broadcasting the Chimes and how she prepares for this very special event in which she and her dresses attract so many eyes. This year will be the tenth time that the Atresmedia group has entrusted her with this important role, a responsibility that she assumes with pride and dedication.

The most surprising moment of the interview was when, while they were talking about the preparations for the Campanadas, Pedroche revealed his superstition with grapes. "Are you going to eat the grapes?" Pedroche asked, to which Sánchez responded affirmatively. However, when the presenter revealed that she only eats grapes on New Year's Eve, Joaquín showed her surprise.

In this way, the presenter explained that, due to her superstition, she only eats grapes on the last day of the year. That is, in 365 days she only eats 12 grapes. In addition, the Madrid native also commented that, due to this moment of utmost importance, she is concentrated during the broadcast trying to eat the grapes, while Alberto Chicote, her partner, is in charge of narrating the Chimes so that no one gets lost at home.

Finally, both ended up presenting a kind of Chimes for some elderly people. The Betic legend wore transparencies while Pedroche, unlike his official looks for the Bells, opted for a sober red suit. Evidently, the communicator left the grapes to avoid bad luck.

In this essay, Joaquín wanted to praise the contribution of older people to the construction of Spain, while the presenter, moved by her partner's words, also shared a special message for the grandparents of Vallecas.
