Cristina Pedroche explodes before the endless criticism of her body after being a mother: "I have to protect myself"

Cristina Pedroche has been exultant with happiness since the birth of her little Laia last July. A girl, the result of her marriage to chef Dabiz Muñoz, much desired; and of whose pregnancy the presenter has been involving her followers through her social networks. The Zapeando collaborator not only shared how she was, but also all the exercise routines, food, or what she was learning about natural childbirth, which went smoothly.

However, barely a month later, the one from Vallecas became the protagonist of the controversy over an image and some comments precisely about how she is doing those first weeks as a mother. The Password host showed how her body is a month after giving birth to her daughter, revealing that "everything was coming back to her."

“Three weeks and two days after giving birth. Grateful for my body. The body is, more or less, like it was before I got pregnant, but it is true that I notice my belly is more flaccid, but well, everything is returning to its being, ”he commented, along with some images in which his progress can be appreciated. The Atresmedia presenter assures that she has lost muscle mass and that she is not as strong as she was before her pregnancy, but she is grateful that her body has memory and remembers the sport and meditation that she did before to stay in state.

However, what she perhaps did not expect was that this comment would unleash endless criticism on social networks, with hundreds of users commenting on how she was hurting other women; physically returning to normality so quickly when for many it takes years or how he has told it on networks accompanying it with images.

After the barrage of criticism, the presenter exploded, sending a statement through her Instagram Stories, in which she assures that she is more than fed up with so much controversy and having to explain everything she does and what she stops doing.

“It's exhausting having to explain everything I do and having to receive all this hate all the time. It's my fault for sharing, I didn't think all this was going to get messed up, ”she begins by explaining herself. “I have not said that this is the body that anyone has to have after giving birth. It is my account and I am talking about my personal case, I am not talking about other women, ”she continues, clarifying her words, in case there were any doubts.

What's more, Pedroche wanted to make it clear that, despite the fact that these have been the words that have filled the headlines, he has been talking for weeks about those small difficulties that he is facing in these first days as a mother: "I have talked about what how hard the cracks in the chest have been for the first days of breastfeeding, of all the shadows that I am having in the postpartum period and that I have even needed a perinatal psychologist ”, she insists.

Pedroche insists that "all postpartums are real" and that he does not consider himself better than anyone. “If I have shared my workouts and food, it is to motivate me to lead a healthy life. But I repeat, this is just my personal account, ”she reiterates, assuring that she is“ working not to feel like a worse mother than anyone else ”.

The presenter assures that she rests very little and that she is not separated from her daughter for a single second, so this controversy has only done but take its toll on her. “I have to protect myself and take care of my mental health, for myself and for my daughter.” Even with everything, she has had words of gratitude for all those who continue by her side, encouraging her and giving her all her support in these difficult moments. To those who criticize her, too: “I hug you, because it is clear that you need more love in your life. Happy summer everyone."
