Coming out of the closet is complicated as the 'Heartstopper' trailer indicates

"I want to tell it, but it's hard to find the moment," Nick (Kit Connor) confesses to Charlie (John Locke) in the trailer for the second season of Hearstopper. Whoever wondered where the shots of the new episodes could go, after uniting the protagonists at the end of the previous season, here is the main answer: first it was time to fall in love and identify the feelings, at least on Nick's part, and now it is time to fit this romance into the daily life of their lives, which is not as easy as it seems.

From the images, in addition, another conclusion can be drawn: the secondary characters will accumulate more weight. It should be remembered that there was a second romance underway that should come to the fore: that of Tao (William Gao) and Elle (Yasmin Finney), best friends forever, even before she experienced her identity as a trans woman.

In the case of Tara (Corinna Brown) and Darcy (Kizzy), it is surprising that the latter is not able to say "I love you" considering the time they have been together and the happiness they exude in each social interaction. And finally, what about Isaac (Tobie Donovan), the quietest member of the group, who until now has been relegated to almost a background role and with a book in hand?

Alice Oseman, author of the comic on which Heartstopper is based, continues to lead production as showrunner in this eight-episode second season in which Olivia Colman reprises as Nick's mother. Luckily, fans won't have to suffer: when the romantic production was renewed for a second season, Oseman was already commissioned for a third.

The eight new episodes will be available to watch on Netflix starting August 3.
